Cadre is a local screen recorder and non-destructive video editor for Apple
Silicon Macs, with editable cuts, zooms and captions plus optional editing by a
connected AI agent.

## What Cadre is not

- It is not currently available for Windows or Intel Macs.
- It does not provide a hosted public Agent API; the control surface is local.
- Projects and local transcripts stay on the Mac, but a connected cloud
  assistant has its own data policy.

## Suggested independent test

1. Download the current signed and notarized build.
2. Record a short screen-and-microphone take or import existing footage.
3. Make a manual cut and zoom, then confirm both remain editable on the timeline.
4. Generate local captions and inspect the transcript.
5. Optionally connect a supported agent and request one precisely bounded edit.
6. Inspect the resulting timeline, undo the change, and repeat it manually.
7. If reviewer export access has been arranged, export an MP4 and inspect it at
   full resolution.
