This is the current public Cadre preview for Apple Silicon Macs. The notes below describe the shipped Mac release candidate, and the build facts link to lightweight first-party records that can be checked independently of this page.

Updating from an older Mac version: If Check for Updates shows an error, download Cadre 1.2.6 and replace the app in Applications. Once installed, future update checks use the corrected Mac release feed.

Windows 1.1.2 — 20 September 2026

Windows 1.1.2 keeps rounded live-camera framing inside its border, reduces the delay before camera recording starts, and makes camera seeking in the editor faster. Normal playback is no longer mistaken for an in-progress scrub.

Windows 1.1.1 — 20 September 2026

The first Windows download supports Windows 11 PCs with Intel or AMD 64-bit processors. It includes screen recording, microphone and camera capture, local timeline editing and the Agent API. iPhone and iPad mirroring remains a Mac feature.

The Windows installer is unsigned and Windows may warn or block it. Updates are manual downloads. Choose a download or read the Windows verification record.

Build verification

  • Version: 1.2.6.
  • Platform: Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 13 or later.
  • Disk image: CADRE.dmg, 223,448,996 bytes.
  • SHA-256: 6537177b7eb0dbdd168acf59e45232f88c692b7f5236a57e410dd942692b7c33. The same value is available as a plain-text checksum.
  • macOS trust: the disk image is Developer ID signed and Apple-notarized.
  • Versioned release record: Cadre 1.2.6 on GitHub Releases.
  • Homebrew: the version-and-checksum-pinned cask is published in Cadre's first-party tap; install it with brew install --cask ArthurBrioche/cadre/cadre.

Cursor and editing

  • Keep the cursor still while idle and follow recorded mouse movement consistently in preview and export.
  • Select timeline sections, restore removed cuts, and join split sections with undo support.

Sound

  • Add microphone noise reduction to reduce keyboard noise, with matching playback and export audio.
  • Show processing status and controls to retry or return to the original microphone audio.

Export

  • Reduce decoding waits and repeated rendering while preserving exact source frames, cuts, speed changes, and styling.
  • Open the containing folder after a successfully completed export.

Backgrounds

  • Preserve imported image orientation in preview and exported videos, including JPEG rotation metadata.
  • Keep imported images with the project when it is saved, moved, or exported while another project is open.
  • Correct Fill, Fit, Tile, blur, and transparency rendering.
  • Report missing or unreadable selected images instead of exporting the video texture as the background.
  • Preserve newer background choices when an older image import finishes.

Updates

  • Make repeated update requests share one check, download, and install operation.
  • Show update failures and retry status consistently.
  • Save live edits before restarting to update and keep the app open if saving fails or recording/export is active.
  • Prevent new recordings and exports while macOS prepares the update, and save again before restarting.

Verification boundary

The release pipeline verified the production dependency audit, type checking, linting, the complete unit and integration suite, application and native builds, renderer bundle budgets, runtime-asset provenance, packaged contents, signing, notarization, the packaged SBOM and immutable publication checks for this exact artifact.

The separate current Agent API compatibility record covers an authenticated rc.33 and standalone plugin v1.0.2 MCP handshake, exact ordered 60-tool discovery and one benign app-state read.
