Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of the Cadre application and this website. By installing or using Cadre you agree to them.
What you get
A Cadre Pro subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Cadre on your own Macs, up to the activation limit shown at checkout, for as long as the subscription is active.
What you may not do
You may not resell, sublicence or redistribute Cadre, nor attempt to circumvent its licensing. You may not use it to record people or screens you have no right to record — that responsibility is yours, and local law on recording and consent applies to you, not to us.
Your recordings are yours
We claim no ownership of anything you record, edit or export with Cadre. We never receive it.
Free to record, subscription to export
Recording and editing are available without a subscription. Exporting a finished video requires an active subscription. We may change what is included in a subscription, but not retroactively for a period you have already paid for.
Billing and cancellation
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel renewal at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. See Refunds.
Availability and support
Cadre is desktop software that runs on your machine, so it keeps working whether or not our services are up. Licence activation and revalidation need our licence service to be reachable; Cadre tolerates it being temporarily unavailable and keeps working offline.
No warranty, and the limit of our liability
Cadre is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Cadre is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Please keep your own backups of recordings that matter. Cadre writes to your disk and we cannot recover a file that is lost.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the substantive laws of Switzerland, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Zurich, Switzerland have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in another court or under another applicable law.
